There is a growing trend of [dot]com companies buying over each other. This news came as a surprise to me but i see it as a great move. Gravatar (short for Globally Recognise Avatar) aims to serve the need for a common profile picture/image(avatars) on the blogosphere.

Its great to hear Automattic starting to move forward to expand and yet improve the WordPress.com service. Kudos to them. But i wonder what it means for non-WordPress people.

I expect more activities from Automattic… Good job Matt

Time to get Gravatar up and running again. Their premium service is now freeee..
